24 Hot Nigerian Songs Released In October 2016
Welcome to the October edition of our monthly songs selection of the hottest tunes. We have a bunch of dope songs on this month’s list and without much ado, lets get down to it.
24. iLLBLiSS ft. Reekado Banks & Mr. Eazi – JawonLaya
ill Bliss dropped his 4th Studio album Illygati last month and off it came this sweet song featuring Reekado Banks and Mr. Eazi. Jawonlaya is one of the better efforts on the album and its getting massive airplay around stations in Nigeria.
23. Jesse Jagz – BOOM
Jesse Jagz has been pretty decent in 2016 and this new track titled Boom is something different from the talented Choc City rapper. Enjoy Boom below.
22. Praiz – 69 ft. Burna Boy & Ikechukwu

21. Ycee x DJ Maphorisa – Omo Alhaji (Remix)
Ycee has a fabulous 2016 which saw him win awards and also inked a deal with Sony. His popular song ‘Omo Alhaji’ from late 2015 was remixed and featured popular South African act DJ Maphorisa. Sweet remix.
20. Duncan Mighty – Onyinye
Wene Mighty! Portharcourt’s first son dropped a surprise album in October which features several banging hits from the south south superstar. Onyinye was released as a promo single for the album and its an instant likeable tune.
19. BOJ ft. Simi – For Sure
BOJ teams up with the hottest new school female artist in the country, Simi for his new single ‘For Sure’.
18. Olamide – Orobo (prod. Young John)
The ever consistent and hardworking YBNL boss Olamide released yet another banger in Orobo. The energetic rapper has also announced plans for another album which will make it 6 albums in 6years for him. Orobo is a JAM.
17: MoeLogo ft. Adekunle Gold – Rora Se (Thread Softly)
These 2 amazing artists Moe Logo and Adekunle Gold combine beautifully for this sweet and conscious song ‘Rora Se’. Peep below
16. Ice Prince – Trillions ft. Phyno (prod. TUC)
Ice Prince released his album ‘Jos To The World‘ last month and Trillions was one of the singles released to promote the album. The song features Phyno and is one of the better efforts from the album.
15. Humblesmith – Change (Prod. By Del B)
Humblesmith seems to be overwhelmed by the success of Osinachi which brought him so much fame. This new tune ‘Change’ is not Osinachi Level but its hot regardless.
14. Dammy Krane x Davido x Shatta Wale – Gbetiti
Dammy Krane signed a sort of partnership with Davido’s DMW and has since recorded collaborations to that effect. His new cut, Gbetiti featured DMW boss Davido and Dancehall rave Shatta Wale.
13. Kcee ft. Tekno – Tender (Prod. by Mystro)
Kcee hooked up with rave of the moment Tekno for his latest offering ‘Tender’. The song is very nice and has over a 100k downloads so far.
12. Phyno – Pino Pino
Phyno takes his singing to another level with his new song ‘Pino Pino’. The rapper seems to be enjoying his newly (maybe not) found skill as its delighted many of his fans. Pino Pino is off Phyno’s new album “The Playmaker” which dropped a few weeks back. This is a hot love song.
11. Lil Kesh ft. Reminisce – Ibile (Remix)
When 2 Ibile Generals come together for a song, the result is this mayhem of a track that get the streets hyped up. Lil Kesh takes his banging song further with a feature of Reminisce and its a hot remix!
10. Tekno - Diana
There’s no stopping Tekno at the moment as the inform singer seems to have hits stored somewhere, dropping them back to back to back. With Pana still killing it on Radio, Tekno’s Diana is likely to be the next big song out of these shores.
9. Sugarboy – Legalize (prod. BeatburX)
G-Worldwide’s Sugarboy is steady gaining points for himself with his releases as he looks to gather some buzz before an expected album in 2017. Legalize is yet another super tune from the singer and its doing pretty well so far.
8. DJ Big N ft. Korede Bello, CDQ & Terry Apala – Gbegiri
This is perhaps my best tune from october! DJ Big N mixes the right combination of artists for his latest song ‘Gbegiri’ with flavors from Korede Bello, CDQ and Terry Apala. I have jammed this several times and i didn’t even get tired, kudos to DJ Big N.
7. Bracket – Agogo ft. Solidstar
Bracket show that they still have plenty left in reserve as they drop another dope tune in ‘Agogo’ featuring Solidstar.
6. Temmie Ovwasa (YBNL Princess) – Afefe
The Talented YBNL Princess ‘Temmie Ovwasa‘ drops her 2nd single since signed to the label and its titled ‘Afefe’. The young singer is impressing and this is very good tune from her.
5. Mayorkun – Love You Tire Ft. Mr. Eazi
DMW’s Mayorkun is also trying hard to have another ‘Eleko’ as he teams up with new school rave Mr. Eazi for this new cut ‘Love You tire‘. This is not Eleko level but its still a hot tune.
4. May D x Akon x Davido – Hustle
May D has been less active of late but surfaced with this new tack with Akon and Davido.
3. L.A.X – Fine Face (freestyle)
Rasaki has made the hottest songs list severally as he has severely impressed this year. Fine face freestyle is another dope effort from L.A.X.
2. Iyanya ft. Don Jazzy & Dr. SID – Up To Something
The Mavins surprised many when they announced the signing of superstar singer Iyanya. Alongside the announcement came this sumptuous song ‘Up To Something‘ featuring Mavins boss Don Jazzy.
1. Lynxxx – Ghana Girls
Lynxxx dropped his album ‘The Album before the Album’ and Ghana girls was a single off it. its one of the better offerings off the album and its dope.
